Why Join Narrative in Action?

Narrative Therapists often find themselves isolated - either as the only Narrative Therapist in their agency or group practice or by working in systems that don't align with Narrative values.

Too often, our healthcare systems prioritize diagnoses and CPT codes over community, meaning-making, and resisting dominant power systems.

Most of us are mental health clinicians because we are deeply passionate about helping others, standing against Oppression, and staying connected to our values. However, when we feel isolated in the face of widespread abuse of Power, we can begin to feel hopeless, alone, and inadequate.

Narrative in Action is a response to these struggles. This group is more than just case consultation; it's a community of Narrative Ethics. Together we:

  • Engage with core concepts such as externalizing, counterstorying, scaffolding, and deconstruction.

  • Bring Justice, Liberation, and Protest values into our clinical work.

  • Support one another in resisting pathologizing and dehumanizing frameworks and re-centering our clients' agency.

  • Stay connected to the political and social power systems that shape our clients' lives—and ours.

  • Learn and unlearn in community with curiosity, connection, and care.

Are You a Mental Health Clinician Who:

  • Is currently using (or committed to learning) Narrative Therapy practices?

  • Is drawn to Anti-Oppressive, Decolonizing, and Justice-oriented approaches?

  • Wants a collaborative space to connect, process, and navigate the complexities of clinical work?

  • Works in a community agency, group practice, or solo practice?

  • Wants clinical guidance for how to support your clients best while using Narrative Theory?

AAMFT Approved Supervisor

I support healers and caregivers who feel overwhelmed and undervalued by offering guidance towards deep self-reflection, cultural awareness, and setting healthy boundaries. I do this work as a therapist, a supervisor, and an educator.

My clinical passions include Narrative Theory, Feminist Theory, Queer Theory, Internal Family Systems Theory, and Self-of-the-Therapist work. I've had extensive training in Narrative Theory, including a year-long group apprenticeship with David Epston and other leaders in the field of Narrative Therapy.

Regular People Stuff: I love to swear, crack jokes, and talk about cats or plants.
